Island House Hotel is one of only two Mackinac Island hotels with an indoor pool. Our pool house, located behind Island House Hotel next to the Ice House Bar & BBQ, is home to a heated indoor pool, both indoor and outdoor hot tubs, and a dry sauna, with towels provided for your convenience. The pool house is open for guest use from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. and is accessible via the boardwalk off the second floor elevator landing.

Golf Mackinac Island
As Michigan’s longest continuously operated golf course, Wawashkamo Golf Club is rich in history and tradition. The historic course was designed by Scottish golf professional Alex Smith in 1898 and is one of the few remaining links courses in America. Named by members of the Island’s Anishinabe, or Chippewa Indian tribe, Wawashkamo means “walk a crooked trail.” The Golf Club offers a special Mackinac Island golfing experience for both members and the general public.
