Golf Mackinac Island
As Michigan’s longest continuously operated golf course, Wawashkamo Golf Club is rich in history and tradition. The historic course was designed by Scottish golf professional Alex Smith in 1898 and is one of the few remaining links courses in America. Named by members of the Island’s Anishinabe, or Chippewa Indian tribe, Wawashkamo means “walk a crooked trail.” The Golf Club offers a special Mackinac Island golfing experience for both members and the general public.
