Located right inside the hotel, the 1852 Grill Room invites guests to enjoy a casual fine dining experience for breakfast and dinner. Relax and enjoy our delicious, fresh cuisine while admiring spectacular views of the Straits of Mackinac.
Breakfast: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Start your morning with a hearty breakfast of Red Flannel Hash, Buttermilk Pancakes with Michigan maple syrup, or classic Eggs Benedict. Treat yourself to an 1852 Bloody Mary or Mimosa, and get your vacation off to a good start!
Dinner: 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
Dinner includes savory and eclectic selections. Begin with an elegant appetizer like Asparagus Rolls with prosciutto and balsamic glaze, or Seared Ahi Tuna served with seaweed salad, mango relish, and chili-lime vinaigrette. For the main entree enjoy one of our decadent 1852 Signature Selections like Steak au Poivre, Dover Sole a la Meuniere, and Wild Mushroom Risotto. The 1852 Grill Room Lounge opens at 5 p.m. Join us before dinner for a drink and let the relaxing piano music help you unwind.
Ice House BBQ
Ice House BBQ features Mackinac’s only authentic barbecue as well as serving a delicious selection of classic American fare. Creative soups, fresh salads, house-made potato chips, gourmet burgers and sandwich. Meat flavored and smoked onsite daily.
Lunch and dinner: 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Enjoy outdoor seating garden-side or deck as well or indoors for cocktails, lunch, and dinner. This hidden gem offers a tree canopied setting veiled from the downtown hustle conveniently tucked behind the iconic Island House Hotel next to Marquette Park. The outdoor patio has expanded seating, while keeping the intimate atmosphere that it is known for. Happy Hour just got happier with a selection of imported & domestic beer topped by occasional live music.
