WAWASHKAMO GOLF CLUB

Michigan’s longest continuously operated golf course.

Rich in history and tradition, the Wawashkamo Golf Club on Mackinac Island offers a special golfing experience for members and the public.  The historic course was designed by Scottish golf professional Alex Smith in 1898 and is one of the few remaining links courses in America.  Named by members of the Island’s Anishinabe, or Chippewa Indians, Wawashkamo means “Walk a Crooked Trail.”
